Cleaning a cell phone

Cleaning a cell phoneIf you own a cell phone it is very important, time to time, to clean it, because every day on the phones conglomerate thousands of germs. The sources of the germs, dust and small particles are different, because we use the phone all most everywhere and all the time, while shopping, in the toilets, while driving, in the buses, metros, and so on. We also use to pass it to other persons, friends, relatives, etc. Taking in consideration all those mentioned above we should clean the cell phone quite often. Cleaning it will make it work better and last longer, and will make look shiner.

Many of us would like to clean it but don’t know how to do it safely. Here are the instruction of how to clean your phone safely and how to make it look shiner.

First of all prepare the thing you will need, these are: a clean piece of cotton or a clean cloth, rubbing alcohol[1], a small dish and of course the cell phone.

1. Remove the battery, the cover and the keypad o the cell phone, this will easy the process of cleaning.

2. Take a small dish and pour some rubbing alcohol in it. Take a clean cloth or a clean piece of cotton and dip it into the alcohol. Rubbing alcohol is the most effective cleaning solution for cleaning the cell phones parts.

3. Now use the cloth to clean the buttons of the phone, this will help to remove any small particles, dust and oil from them.

4. For cleaning the display screen instead of rubbing alcohol use glass cleaner. Spray some on a clean cloth, be attentive not on the screen but on the cloth, and wipe until the screen shines.

5. If the cover of the phone can be easily removed clean it inside and outside with rubbing alcohol and a piece of clean cotton, otherwise don’t try to remove it, but clean only externally.

6. The connectors and the speaker area can also be cleaned using rubbing alcohol and an old toothbrush. Connectors are the place where the charger connects, the headphone, etc. Deep the toothbrush in the alcohol and start cleaning them by removing the dust and small invisible particles from those places. If you have a flip phone also use the toothbrush to clean between the flip and the phone.

NOTES: 1) Rubbing alcohol is a liquid prepared for topical application prepared from specially denatured alcohol and containing 68.5-71.5% vol./vol. of absolute (ie. 100%) ethanol (ethyl alcohol). Individual manufacturers can use their own "formulation standards" in which the ethanol content usually ranges from 70-95% v/v.

The term "rubbing alcohol" has become a general non-specific term for either isopropanol or ethanol rubbing alcohol products. The confusion comes from the greater popularity of isopropyl rubbing alcohol, and as a result, individuals requesting "rubbing alcohol" generally expect and get an isopropyl alcohol product. The British Pharmacopoeia and United States Pharmacopeia standards (standards recognized in many countries other than the UK and USA) define rubbing alcohol as a mixture of ethanol and water of fixed proportions.
